Alexander Anderson Accounting Manager

Alex joins Propeller with over eight years of experience in Accounting and Finance. After graduating with his B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Boise State University, Alex took a job at a local accounting firm Jitasa. Jitasa focused solely on non-profit accounting and here Alex built a strong foundation in client
onboarding, processes set up, and financial month-end close.

After three years at Jitasa and having lived his whole life in Idaho, Alex decided he wanted to see what other states had to offer. He got a job at a wine company based in the Bay Area called Share a Splash Wine Co. Here, Alex revamped the financial reporting, adding financial analysis to better monitor KPIs, and overhauled the inventory management and cost of goods sold (COGS) measurements. He is also recognized for implementing VIP depletion reporting, allowing for daily product depletion reporting.

After three and a half years in California, Idaho was calling, and Alex decided it was time to move back to his home state. Having finished his CPA testing in California, Alex finalized the rest of his requirements and became a CPA and member of the Idaho Board of Accountancy in 2020. In Idaho, Alex joined
the agribusiness company Simplot as a Senior Accountant. Here Alex managed the accounting for 15 Simplot retail locations and used his keen eye toward process improvement and efficiency to optimize month-end tasks for himself and coworkers.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys hiking, snowboarding, camping (basically all of the things you’d move to Idaho to do). When the weather isn’t great he also enjoys playing video games and binging new Netflix shows.
