James Wilson Data Engineer
James’s enthusiasm for all things data became apparent during his first position out of college he was asked to develop a financial pricing model for potential new supply chain clients. The interaction between data, process, and the flow of information in order to make business decisions was both exciting and challenging. Since that first position, James has taken on a variety of roles including data scientist, data analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, marketing analytics, process engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt and project management to build skills needed to understand how to help organizations maximize their decision-making using data.
Prior to joining Propeller, James served in a variety of roles for numerous Fortune 500 and public companies, including Verizon, XPO Logistics, Celanese, and Ingram Micro. James has extensive (20+ Years) experience in developing, leading, and implementing effective business, IT and data analytic solutions that drive continuous improvement in productivity, cycle time and revenue. These cross team collaborative efforts are a result of effective communication, team building, process improvement and data analytic skills.
James received his MBA from Penn State University and his undergraduate BA from the University of California at Irvine. James also has certifications in Data Science, and Data Warehousing.
James lives in the Dallas / Fort Worth area in Texas with his wife Dawn and their three children. He loves walking 10,000 steps per day and reading about macroeconomic and geopolitical changes that will occur in the next 20 – 30 years.
