Jennifer Smith Director of Marketing and Communications
Jennifer joins Propeller as the Director of Marketing and Communications with over a decade of experience at high-growth, entrepreneurial companies developing and implementing marketing, communications, events, and content strategies.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in Communications and a minor in Art History, Jennifer began working at a prominent Baltimore-based communications firm, developing PR and media strategies for clients in entertainment, real estate, healthcare, and sports.
In her next position, Jennifer joined SmartCEO, a media company and business community for CEOs and executives. After excelling in her role building community and enabling CEOs to grow their business through media and event opportunities, she was promoted to Market Director and moved to New York to launch the new division for the company. Over the next five years, Jennifer grew SmartCEO New York to the country’s highest-grossing territory while connecting the city’s top executives.
In her most recent role, Jennifer spent nearly three years with ForceBrands, the leading recruiting firm for the consumer products industry. As the VP of Brand Marketing and Communications, she led the company through a brand repositioning project, revamped the event and partnership strategy, and created a corporate communications framework promoting visibility and transparency. By spearheading an annual survey project, Jennifer was able to create industry reports using proprietary data, furthering ForceBrands’ position as thought leaders.

A clean-living and mindfulness convert, Jennifer loves to spend time with her husband, cook, do yoga/workout, travel, and enjoys a good thriller (book, movie, or podcast)!
