Nolan Hansen VP of Finance
Nolan joins Propeller with over fifteen years of finance, accounting, and business operations experience with a primary focus in the software as a service industry.
Prior to Propeller, Nolan was VP of Finance for Classy, a social enterprise providing online fundraising software for nonprofits, modernizing the giving experience to accelerate social impact around the world. While at Classy, Nolan built and grew the Finance and Accounting function to facilitate the growth of the company. He led the financial planning, budgeting, and audit processes and developed and adapted key performance indicators and financial metrics. He also directed the financial due diligence process through multiple equity and debt financings.
Before Classy, Nolan was Manager of Revenue Accounting at The Active Network, a technology platform that offers registration, payment processing, and insightful data and services to help event and activity organizers drive increased participation and revenue while streamlining administration. While at The Active Network, Nolan supported senior management and the audit firm during an initial public offering S-1 filing, provided management guidance on proper revenue and technical GAAP accounting treatments, and was a lead resource to drive accounting requirements for various source system integrations and automation efforts.
Nolan began his career with a regional public accounting firm, Strain Slattery Barkley & Co.
Nolan graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a B.S. in Accounting and is a California licensed CPA. He is an avid runner and hiker who enjoys long distances and hitting the trails as often as possible.
