Rachel Apodaca Associate Director of Accounting
Rachel joins Propeller with over 10 years of experience in Accounting, Finance and Operations. After graduating with her B.A., Rachel moved to New York and joined Polaroid’s offshoot company, The Impossible Project, as their Accounting Manager. Here, with the help of an incredibly skilled Finance Director, she gained hands-on experience with full operational accounting and finance processes. She is recognized for implementing a new purchase order system for their camera department.
When The Impossible Project downsized and prepared for an acquisition, she decided to move back to her home state of California where she worked as the Finance and Operations Manager of a small manufacturing and retail business, Juniper Ridge. Here she managed the company’s high-level operations, cash flow, budgeting, and complex inventory accounting and forecasting (due to the seasonality of their product’s raw goods).
Rachel is passionate about entrepreneurship and supporting small businesses, especially those with a positive social impact. She is excited to be aligned with a variety of inspiring start-ups and in providing her skills to amplify their success.
Rachel is a proud owner of a rescue dog, Luna, and is an active collaborator in various artistic endeavors which include music, writing/directing film shorts, embroidery and fiber art.
