As the Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Development at Propeller Industries, Jessie Bao serves on the executive leadership team and is responsible for Propeller’s strategic and corporate M&A initiatives. Jessie has nearly two decades of experience in the financial institutions industry, including corporate M&A, direct investment, and investment banking. With extensive experience in strategic planning, sourcing and executing complex mergers and acquisitions, Jessie has helped many organizations achieve transformational changes and exceed growth expectations.
Most recently, Jessie served as EVP, Chief Strategy Officer – Head of Corporate Development at Carrick Group, an asset manager backed start-up insurer. Prior to Carrick, she was a managing director and head of U.S. Investments at Fosun Group. Before her position with Fosun, Jessie worked in the Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group at UBS, Barclays and subsequently StormHarbour, where she advised many corporations on mergers and acquisitions, new business formations, and equity & debt financing. Jessie started her career in accounting at Ernst & Young.
Jessie Bao holds a Master of Business Administration from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and a B.A. in International Business & Economics from Shanghai University. In her free time, Jessie enjoys spending quality time with her family, salsa dancing and traveling the world.
