Rodrigo joined Propeller Industries in 2022 with industry experience in retail, hospitality (both restaurants and hotel), non-profit, subcontractor, education, and veterinary emergency services. Rodrigo comes to Propeller with over 15 years of Human Resources experience in Organizational Development & Effectiveness, HR Strategy, Employee & Labor Relations, CA employment law, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnership, and training and development.
Rodrigo started his career at The Home Depot as an HR Administrator before joining the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in 2008. At the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, he co-led the HR department and oversaw workers comp, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and employee engagement. In 2010, he joined Aircraft Service International Group and was the HR Generalist for 5 locations in the Southern California Market overseeing union and non-union employees. At Crystal Stairs, he led a Head Start grant integration into an existing agency by building out processes and procedures specific to that grant. He was recruited by Le Pain Quotidien to build HR infrastructure for the California Market which eventually led him to becoming the U.S. HR Director for 100 restaurants. At Momofuku, Rodrigo led the largest company owned restaurant in the Venetian Hotel & Casino and also led the company’s COVID response plan. After Momofuku, Rodrigo joined Veterinary Emergency Group to help build their HR infrastructure and service delivery model to support the company’s high growth.
Rodrigo holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, successfully passed the Professional in Human Resources California (PHRca) exam, and has an undergrad degree in business administration and management.
Rodrigo is a Los Angeles native and loves showing people around! He loves his two English Bulldogs, Mickey and Pluto, and going to Costco. On Thursday nights, you can find him in an AMC theater watching a newly released movie.
